Yozakura Quartet 01-02/Medaka Box 22

Got Fish?
Got Fish?

Alrighty, so this has been a long time coming, too long actually, so I’ll keep it short and sweet. Seeing as nobody has been paying attention to scanlating the Yozakura Quartet manga series, we’re taking the reigns and bringing you Yozakura Quartet! Yes, I’m well aware that del rey released a good amount of the manga, but not all of it, they are one or two volumes behind what is available in Japanese, and their next release will be during the Spring of 2010. Since I know people don’t want to wait that long, we’re going to catch up and  surpass the del rey releases so you guys can enjoy this underappreciated series (we’ll be releasing at a very quick rate, so no need to worry). All good things start at the beginning, so here are chapters 1 and 2.

but the first five volumes have been scanlated already by senfgurke2, so why you didn’t start from volume 6?? this is only my thought.

I’m well aware, but it isn’t a problem because we have more than that translated already. Also this way we can upload the chapters up to volume 6 to manga online readers, so more people can be exposed to the series as most manga online readers do not host official manga releases and his releases are just scans of del rey’s manga.

If you are gonna say that it’s because offical manga is illegal to host and scans are legal, I’m gonna slap ya. xD
It’s illegal no matter what….though some people need to fix their head and get it into their head. (No not thinking of you but the hosters, lol)
Great to know you got resources enough to do 5 vols of a manga…and to do it before spring next year XD I’d rather recommend taking up a series that’s not scanned or scanlated by anyone though.
Thanks for Medako and Seitokai no Ichizon though :3

The point is that it is safer to post up scanlated manga than to scan the company’s own product and release it, which is probably the mentality of most online readers. Also, come on, look at who you’re talking to lol, would I even mouth the words “scanlation is legal”. I hear your recommendation, but there are no other series that I am interested in to put in the effort (and I’ve really looked).

Well in any case, wanting there be a ‘proper’ scanlated version makes more sense than the weekly race to see who can scanlate Naruto, One Piece and Bleach the fastest. ^^

Senfgurke2 mentioned on his site that someone was going for it with this title, though he didn’t say who. I’m glad it’s CXC as you’ve been doing such a great job with the Bamboo Blade titles. Many thanks.

… that lucky little bastard, being held up against Yobuko the Enforcer like that. Glasses, figure like… yipe.

It’s a very nice surprise seeing a big group picking up Y4, I didn’t knew the manga was licensed in the US so I always wondered why no one picked it up even when the anime was broadcasted.

I came by some good quality RAWs last year during the time the anime was airing and I thought about translating it solo but I didn’t have the time.
